The decision to book a property is made long before the guest arrives. It happens on a screen. Scrolling, comparing, judging an online presence in seconds. If a property is not there clearly, consistently, and in a way that reflects what makes it worth choosing, it stays invisible to exactly the guest who would love it most.
We start by listening. Understanding the property, its owners, its history, and the guests it already has, before anything is designed.
From there, we define the strategy: who your guest is, what makes your property different, and how that difference should look, sound, and feel across every touchpoint. Then we build the identity: the visual system, the voice, the photography direction, and the presence that carries a property from discovery to booking.
Wissal
Wissal is the founder and creative director behind Awal. She's an independent branding and hospitality consultant with six years of experience helping boutique hotels and independent properties build their identity, across the world.
"Awal" means: "stories we tell". It comes from Amazigh, the language of the indigenous people of North Africa, and of our founder's heritage. It's the name of the studio because it's exactly what we do: find and tell the stories that make a property known, remembered, and chosen.
A small number of properties, working closely with us first.
Awal is opening a small founding cohort: a limited number of properties we take on first, working closely with the studio from strategy through launch.
This cohort is application-based. We're looking for properties with a real story and the right fit. Not every property is, and that's fine.
In return, founding properties receive priority scheduling, direct access to the studio's founder throughout the project, and a rate that reflects the partnership.
